Rover & Kin is a social enterprise born from a deep love of travel, craft, and the belief that how we shop can change the world. Founded by Wen-Yan King, a proudly AAPI woman entrepreneur with over a decade of experience collaborating with craft communities across South Asia, Rover & Kin launched in 2018 with a clear purpose: to create jewellery that is both beautifully designed and genuinely good for the people who make it.

Every piece begins with a partnership. Rather than working with anonymous suppliers, the team collaborates with verified fair trade producer groups — women's cooperatives, development nonprofits, and community workshops — across India and Nepal. In the farming village of Pataudi in Haryana, silversmiths craft intricate metal and electroplated pieces while participating in community water conservation and vocational training programs. In eastern Delhi, artisans specialising in hand-cut brass and clay jewellery work alongside a community centre running after-school programs and eldercare for their neighbours. In West Bengal, a women-owned cooperative has been stitching and weaving — and supporting their families — since 1984. And in Pokhara, Nepal, the Women's Skills Development Organization has been crafting handwoven pieces with rural women on the backstrap loom since 1975.

Rover & Kin works exclusively with World Fair Trade Organization guaranteed producer groups — meaning fair living wages, safe working conditions, and a genuine commitment to artisan wellbeing at every stage.
